Illinois once again breaks records for its monthly cannabis sales, putting the total sales of the state above half a billion dollars since the beginning of the year.

In September, Illinois sold over $67.5 million worth of weed, which was the highest month on record since the state legalized cannabis in January this year. September’s sales were a leap above February’s sales, which sat at $34 million, showing that the demand for cannabis and cannabis-related products was certainly growing across the state.

Most recently, Illinois released its October cannabis sales figures, which yet again surpassed all prior sales records, with October bringing in a whopping $75.2 million in just one month from cannabis sales. The $75 million was comprised of $20.5 million worth of weed sold to out-of-state residents, and $54.7 million generated from in-state residents. Both of these figures were records for Illinois, with October sales jumping nearly $8 million over the prior record-month of September.
