Wow, this is one of the first pieces on Medium I actually enjoyed. (I’ve been a member for a year…what’s that tell you?)
While I’m in a long-term relationship, I’ve watched a lot of RSD and Owen Cook’s videos out of fascination and its truly insightful. Pick Up Artistry is truly an art in which you learn to acquire some of the “honest” signals, and nothing highlights this more than the concept of congruence. From memory, Owen spoke of his vegan friend who just liked watching documentaries about veganism (typically not alpha male stuff) but because he was so confident and congruent in his belief in veganism, he had no troubles picking up women.
I’m also glad someone is talking about attractiveness privilege. Brett Weinstein recently talked about it and it’s so true, attractiveness is much more of a privilege than race is. Height privilege for a man supersedes almost anything else. If you’re a tall man, little else matters for reproduction. And if you're a beautiful woman, you’re set for life. Race for women is irrelevant and if anything, women are likely more racist when it comes to sexual selection than men are (I’d imagine.)
Anyway, this comment has no real point other than to provide kudos to you good sir! (or Madam) Keep up the good work, the internet has some interesting cobwebs and I don’t blame men (especially short, unattractive ones) for having resentment against the world — I just think it’s not helping them.
